Requirements
  • Equivalent to a bachelor's degree and/or equivalent training and administrative work experience involving study, analysis, and/or evaluation leading to the development or improvement of administrative policies, procedures, practices, or programs.
  • Six years of progressively responsible experience performing varied or specialized administrative and analytical duties and/or serving as a program administrator.
  • Experience with organizational functions, structures, and group dynamics, with the ability to bring political acumen to support collaborations.
  • Knowledge of adult learning theory, universal design, and current workforce development trends and best practices.
  • Experience designing, developing, and delivering training and e-learnings.
  • Working knowledge of common software application packages for creating accessible, self-directed learning modules, including video editing and captioning.
  • Presentation and facilitation skills responsive to diverse engagement styles.
  • Coaching experience with individuals and teams to support effective collaboration and culturally responsive practices.
  • Ability to interpret complex procedures and protocols independently.
  • Ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects of varying nature, content, and complexity while meeting deadlines.
  • Experience implementing behavioral changes that advance equity, inclusion, healing, and healthy relationships.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations and use standard computer programs for word processing, spreadsheets, report preparation, and other work products.
  • Ability to reside in California throughout employment and live within commuting distance of the supported worksite.
  • Ability to pass a background check, including a criminal record check.
Responsibilities
  • Design, coordinate, implement, and facilitate initiatives that advance the Academy's Strategic Plan.
  • Develop and deliver training and tools supporting the Academy's System of Practice.
  • Set standards for staff Individual Development Plans and performance evaluations.
  • Update and maintain the Academy's Protocols and Procedures Manual.
  • Support organizational culture, staff engagement, and Academy growth.
  • Participate in developing grant applications and maintain continuing education accreditation.
  • Produce training curricula, training materials, and tools supporting implementation of the Academy's System of Practice.
  • Design and implement training for people leaders on the Academy's People Leader Competencies.
  • Design, write, revise, and facilitate accessible learning experiences, tools, and resources using adult learning theory and universal design principles.
  • Produce, record, and edit videos for asynchronous staff learning experiences.
  • Provide coaching for individuals and teams supporting staff growth, collaboration, and the Academy's System of Practice.
  • Partner with the Workforce Management and Development Team to ensure curriculum development reflects evolving best practices and identify and contract with subject matter experts as needed.
  • Support development, review, and analysis of the annual Organizational Health Assessment and other periodic staff surveys.
  • Oversee management and production of Academy All-Staff meetings, including facilitation, facilitator coordination, materials preparation, and staff feedback survey administration, analysis, and reporting.
  • Support implementation of the Academy's Strategic Plan, focusing on initiatives that support organizational culture and integrate the Academy System of Practice.
  • Conduct research supporting change management and organizational development best practices.
  • Maintain the Academy Protocols and Procedures Manual; write and edit Academy protocols and procedures and adapt Foundation policy to Academy needs.
  • Oversee the Continuous Quality Improvement and Quality Assurance process for the Protocols and Procedures Manual.
  • Support development and submission of grant and contract proposals, including researching funding sources, gathering information, and supporting proposal writing, production, and submission.
  • Support applications and produce reports required to maintain and expand continuing education accreditation.
  • Facilitate the Performance Management process, update performance evaluations, create staff resources, and ensure the process is effective and easy to use.
  • Lead the organizational Individual Development Process, update Individual Development Plans, create staff resources, and ensure the process is effective and easy to use.
  • Travel to off-site locations for Academy and program meetings, primarily in Riverside and San Diego.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience using video editing and online design products such as Canva, Camtasia, Adobe, and Articulate RISE.
