About the Job

Requirements

  • At least 7 years of product management experience, with a track record of owning roadmaps that span hardware and software.
  • Demonstrated experience working directly with executive leadership and translating company strategy into product priorities, ideally with significant autonomy and cross-functional scope.
  • Direct experience partnering with sales or customer-facing teams to convert customer and market feedback into roadmap decisions.
  • A genuine point of view on simplicity in product design, including examples of advocating for a simpler solution over a more complex one and explaining why it was the right choice.
  • Comfort operating alongside a Program Manager or similar execution owner, with a clear understanding of the boundary between setting priorities and managing execution.
  • Familiarity with, or strong interest in, sensor fusion, perception, and navigation technologies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to represent product strategy to the CEO, leadership team, customers, and Board of Directors.
  • A bachelor's degree is required.

Responsibilities

  • Set product strategy and priorities across the technology stack, including software, AI and perception models, radar-based sensor fusion, physical and digital product lines, industrial and consumer robots, motorcycle safety modules, and cloud-based tools and apps.
  • Partner with Sales to understand customer needs, deployment feedback, and opportunities to expand adoption of the core technology stack, then translate findings into product priorities and business cases.
  • Define features and priorities for cloud software and companion apps connected to robots, ensuring they extend hardware value and simplify customer operation.
  • Own the motorcycle safety module product category by working with customers, assessing their needs and requirements, benchmarking competitors, and forming a point of view on value to riders and feature priorities.
  • Advocate for simplicity and intuitive ease of use in product decisions, including under schedule or feature pressure.
  • Set goals and priorities and hand off execution to the Program Manager, clarifying intent and unblocking work while avoiding duplication of the Program Manager's tracking and execution responsibilities.
  • Represent product thinking in leadership discussions, bring market and customer perspectives into company strategy, and make tradeoffs among hardware, software, and AI investment explicit and defensible.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with embedded or robotics products is strongly preferred.
  • An advanced degree in a technical field is a plus.
