  • Bachelor's Degree or military experience
  • At least 7 years of Communications, Marketing, or Public Relations experience
  • Experience in leveraging data insights to develop, nurture and refine compelling creative ideas and concepts
  • Strong writing, oral and verbal communications skills
  • Expert knowledge in the latest internal communications channels and how to best leverage for communications programs as part of the overall strategy
  • Masters Degree in Business, Mass Communications, Education, Marketing/Public Relations, Journalism or English (preferred)
  • 10+ years of experience in developing and implementing business communication and organizational change management strategies, plans and deliverables (preferred)
  • 5+ years of experience in creating and executing strategic and creative communication campaigns for organizations (preferred)
Responsibilities
  • Serve as head of Finance Communications, developing and implementing an effective, comprehensive employee-facing communications strategy for the Chief Financial Officer at Capital One
  • Serve as a strategic communications advisor to Finance executive leaders with the ability to flex between consulting for different executive leaders
  • Ensure that communications tell an articulate, consistent story about business priorities with a strong voice and in the right channels; inspire confidence in Finance’s leadership and business strategy; and help the business achieve their targeted results
  • Ensure all messaging and communications strategies are focused, accurate, and aligned within Finance
  • Effectively partner with Finance HR Consultants, Finance Chief of Staff office, Finance executive team and other line of business communicators to ensure desired communications outcomes
  • Lead a data-driven approach to engage associates
  • Lead, manage and grow a team of communicators - both direct and indirect reports
