CloudBees opens Denver office as a major U.S. Hiring hub.

CloudBees opens Denver office as a major U.S. Hiring hub. New hub to leverage Denver's deep pool of tech talent as company expands. DENVER, Oct. 06, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) - CloudBees, which helps enterprises build, run and govern software factories in the agentic coding era, today announced the opening of its new office in downtown Denver, creating a hiring hub for engineering, product and go-to-market roles. The office opening is part of CEO Moritz Plassnig's strategy to grow CloudBees in tech hubs globally as it helps enterprises navigate a new era of software development. "I know and love Colorado, and I've watched its tech talent pool grow into something real." Denver's tech workforce is projected to grow by 2.2% in 2026, adding nearly 3,500 net tech jobs, according to CompTIA's 2026 State of the Tech Workforce report, a growth rate that ranks among the top 10 metro areas in the country. Colorado also ranks 4th nationally for the concentration of tech workers in its overall workforce. The Denver metro area is home to prominent hubs for major technology companies, including Salesforce, Oracle, Datadog, and Gusto. For Plassnig, a Colorado resident, the opening is also personal. He returned to lead CloudBees as CEO in June 2026, after first joining the company through their 2018 acquisition of Codeship, the CI/CD platform Plassnig co-founded. "I know and love Colorado, and I've watched its tech talent pool grow into something real," said Moritz Plassnig, CEO of CloudBees. "Opening our Denver office is an important step in our broader plan to expand our team, strengthen our presence in key communities, and continue building the company for what's ahead." CloudBees is also building stronger ties to the local tech community. Plassnig recently joined the 'Building from Colorado' panel at Colorado Startup Week, a discussion on why companies are choosing to build and invest in Colorado's tech ecosystem. The company expects to deepen its involvement as it grows its Denver presence. Denver joins CloudBees' broader U.S. footprint, including hiring hubs in the San Francisco Bay Area, New York City and Raleigh, alongside teams across EMEA and APAC. CloudBees is continuing to hire for roles in Denver and globally, with open positions available at cloudbees.com/careers. About CloudBees CloudBees helps organizations build, run, and govern software factories, giving enterprises the confidence to ship software better, faster, and safer. Writing code is no longer the bottleneck. Governing what reaches production and validating its impact is. As enterprises adopt agentic coding, software is created faster than most teams can review, secure, and validate. Without consistent governance, organizations risk shipping code they cannot explain, audit, or trust. CloudBees addresses this challenge without asking teams to replace the tools they already use. Across every toolchain a customer runs, CloudBees makes each change, human or AI, visible, auditable, and accountable before it reaches production. CloudBees Unify is the product behind this: a governance layer, with context and control-plane capabilities, that enforces consistent policy and evidence across every tool, team, and workflow. Founded in 2010, CloudBees is backed by Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, Bridgepoint Capital, HSBC, Golub Capital, Delta-v Capital, Matrix Partners, and Lightspeed Venture Partners. Media Contact

CloudBees appoints Moritz Plassnig as CEO.

CloudBees appoints Moritz Plassnig as CEO. CloudBees has announced the appointment of Moritz Plassnig as Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately. Plassnig succeeds Anuj Kapur, who guided the company through a period of operational transformation, profitability, and revenue growth while serving major enterprise customers. A founder of Codeship and experienced product leader, Plassnig returns to CloudBees to advance its vision for governed AI software delivery in the era of agentic coding, with a strong focus on developer trust. Plassnig, founder of Codeship, the continuous integration and delivery platform acquired by CloudBees in 2018, returns with a rare combination: deep enterprise product instincts and a track record of building tools developers love. Most recently, Moritz served as Chief Product Officer at Immuta, a data security and governance platform, where he oversaw product, engineering and customer success. He will also join the CloudBees Board of Directors. Plassnig assumes leadership at a pivotal moment for the software industry as AI is writing an increasing share of enterprise code. The enterprises CloudBees serves, including software and technology companies, financial institutions, governments, and critical infrastructure providers, want to embrace this shift. With agents now committing, testing, and deploying code autonomously, the bottleneck has shifted from generating code to governing what ultimately reaches production environments. "Software development is on the brink of its own revolution," said Moritz Plassnig, CEO of CloudBees. "Enterprises are under pressure to adopt agentic coding without losing control, and that requires oversight, auditability, and humans in the loop. CloudBees has spent more than a decade earning the trust of the world's largest and most regulated engineering organizations. The question every CIO is asking right now is: how do I move at the speed of AI without losing the ability to explain, audit, and stand behind what ships? That's the problem we're built to solve, and there's no better moment to solve it." Under Plassnig, CloudBees is moving immediately to be an AI-first company in the products it builds and ships, and in how it runs the business itself, with AI agents already embedded across CloudBees' own engineering, marketing, and customer operations. The company's open and flexible governance layer gives CIOs, CISOs, and platform leaders one place to set policy, manage risk, and maintain control over how software is built, secured, and released across every tool in their stack, not only CloudBees' own. Every change, human or AI, becomes visible, auditable, and accountable, and the Global 2000 can adopt AI-driven development securely without replacing the tools and workflows their teams already rely on. Plassnig is already engaging with customers, and this will continue to be his priority in the coming weeks. "We are grateful to Anuj for leaving CloudBees profitable and focused. But the Board didn't bring Moritz in to stay the course," said Sacha Labourey, Co-founder and Board member, CloudBees. "Agentic coding fundamentally changes what enterprises need from us, and CloudBees will change just as radically. Moritz understands what it takes to build software in the agentic era because he has done it, and that changes how he thinks about the governance enterprises require and the developer experience that makes governance something teams choose rather than tolerate. He has the urgency to lead that transformation."

The event will feature the live launch of the State of Code Abundance 2026 report, revealing data insights from over 200 enterprise technology leaders on the risks, tradeoffs, and opportunities shaping AI-driven development. "There are both massive opportunities and notable risks with AI-driven software development. While we've seen gains in code development velocity, we're also seeing the cracks in governance, cost predictability, and clarity around who actually owns the code coming out the other end," said Anuj Kapur, CEO of CloudBees. "Most enterprises are moving faster with less visibility than ever before. That's why we're bringing leaders together to confront what the data is already telling us and address these gaps before they become crises." The summit will explore key themes shaping agentic software delivery, including productivity and ROI measurement, AI code trust gaps, and token consumption and cost escalation. It will also examine the rise of "token anxiety," a new set of challenges echoing the early days of cloud adoption. CloudBees Unify wins Gold in the 2026 Cybersecurity Excellence Awards, DevSecOps.

CloudBees Unify wins Gold in the 2026 Cybersecurity Excellence Awards, DevSecOps. CloudBees Unify has been named a Gold Award recipient in the DevSecOps category of the 2026 Cybersecurity Excellence Awards, selected by an independent panel of cybersecurity practitioners, analysts, and CISOs from the Cybersecurity Insiders community. Enterprise security teams aren't losing sleep over whether to adopt AI-accelerated development. That ship has sailed. What keeps them up is governance: how do you maintain control when code velocity triples, AI is generating half or more of your codebase, and your toolchain sprawls across 15 different platforms? That's where CloudBees Unify comes in. Rather than adding another point solution, Unify acts as a DevSecOps control plane, centralizing visibility, embedding policy-driven governance directly into developer workflows, and extending AI-aware guardrails to the agentic development patterns that are quickly becoming the norm. The result: security stops being a gate at the end of the pipeline and becomes a property of the pipeline itself. In banking, where security isn't a feature, it's a regulatory mandate, the bar is unambiguous: The shift enterprises describe isn't tactical. It's structural: Teams that once scrambled to catch vulnerabilities before release now build compliance into commit. Security and engineering stop fighting over the finish line. Read more customer stories Its team is at RSAC 2026 Conference - look for the purple CloudBees coffee cart outside Moscone. The conversations CloudBees is having are less about features and more about a fundamental question enterprise security leaders are wrestling with: How do you govern what you can't fully see, especially when AI is generating half or more of your codebase? That's the conversation CloudBees Unify was built for. Let's talk.
