Requirements
  • At least 5 years of fiber splicing experience.
  • Experience in a foreman or leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of data center fiber systems, including inside plant fiber work.
  • Ability to read schematics and test results.
  • Hands-on experience with fusion splicing and testing tools.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
Responsibilities
  • Lead and supervise fiber splicing crews on-site.
  • Perform and oversee fusion splicing for single-mode and ribbon fiber.
  • Read and interpret fiber diagrams, prints, and Methods of Procedure documents.
  • Manage daily production and crew assignments.
  • Ensure all work meets data center quality standards.
  • Perform and review optical time-domain reflectometer and light-level testing.
  • Maintain splice logs and project documentation.
  • Troubleshoot fiber issues and connectivity problems.
  • Coordinate with project managers and other teams.
  • Enforce safety standards and protocols.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience in data center environments.
  • Occupational Safety and Health Administration 10 or 30 certification.
  • Experience with optical time-domain reflectometers, power meters, and fiber testing.
  • Familiarity with structured cabling and rack environments.
