Requirements
- A High School Diploma, Technical Certificate, or equivalent qualification is required.
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in mechanical maintenance, including supervisory responsibilities, is required for the Mechanical Supervisor role.
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in a similar electrical, instrumentation, control, and automation supervisory role is required for the EICA Supervisor role.
- Candidates must understand preventive and corrective maintenance practices for mechanical maintenance.
- Candidates must understand programmable logic controllers, supervisory control and data acquisition, remote terminal units, variable frequency drives, motor control centers, and control systems for EICA maintenance.
- Candidates must understand health, safety, and environmental requirements and safe work practices.
- Candidates must be able to read and interpret mechanical drawings and technical documentation or electrical and instrumentation drawings.
- Candidates should have planning, communication, leadership, and team coordination abilities.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise daily mechanical maintenance activities across assigned pumping stations.
- Coordinate and guide mechanics, helpers, electricians, and maintenance teams to complete planned work safely and efficiently.
- Plan and arrange spare parts, tools, consumables, and other resources in coordination with the Engineer.
- Conduct task risk assessments and implement appropriate mitigation measures before maintenance execution.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, control, and automation equipment failures and provide technical support.
- Coordinate maintenance schedules and adjust priorities in response to breakdowns, emergencies, weather conditions, operational requirements, or resource constraints.
- Allocate or delegate work activities and monitor maintenance personnel performance.
- Promote safe working practices and ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental procedures and permit requirements.
- Provide guidance on the correct use of tools, machinery, personal protective equipment, and safety equipment.
- Resolve operational issues and team conflicts professionally and promptly.
- Prepare and submit daily maintenance and progress reports.
- Lead maintenance activities on pumps, motors, valves, relief valves, surge vessels, OCUs, coarse screens, diesel pumps, motor control center rooms, control panels, and associated mechanical equipment.
- Oversee assembly, installation, alignment, and maintenance of mechanical systems and rotating equipment.
- Carry out infrared thermographic inspections of electrical equipment and control panels.
- Support maintenance and troubleshooting of programmable logic controllers, supervisory control and data acquisition systems, remote terminal units, variable frequency drives, and control systems.
- Review and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, loop diagrams, single-line diagrams, and piping and instrumentation diagrams.
- Ensure the reliability and availability of electrical and automation assets within the pumping stations.
Desired Qualifications
- Vocational or trade school certification in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline is preferred.
- Vocational or trade school certification in Electrical, Instrumentation, or Automation disciplines is preferred.
- Experience in pumping stations, water infrastructure, utilities, or industrial facilities is preferred.
- A UAE driving license is preferred.
