What believers are saying

  • June 2026: Taylor Design completed Scripps Memorial Encinitas’s initial expansion phase.
  • July 2026: Sutter Arden Care Center opened after Taylor Design’s adaptive reuse work.
  • January 2026 hires Erik Hanson; later 2026 promotions added Stephanie L’Estrange and Linda Pearson.

What critics are saying

  • Taylor Design depends heavily on healthcare capital budgets at Sutter, Scripps, and county systems.
  • Public health owners delay approvals and defer renovations, shrinking 2027 backlog.
  • If one anchor client moves to national firms, Taylor Design’s five-office scale weakens fast.

What makes Taylor Design unique

  • Taylor Design’s healthcare depth spans Sutter, Scripps, and San Mateo County Health.
  • It serves as architect-of-record, not just designer, on complex campus transformations.
  • Five offices and integrated architecture-interior capabilities support repeat enterprise clients.
