- An MD or DO degree is required.
- Prior admissions committee experience at the undergraduate or medical school level is required.
- Experience mentoring high school students, particularly in academic advising or college application support, is required.
- Familiarity with BS/MD, direct medical, and pre-med admissions processes, including school selection, application strategy, and interview preparation, is required.
- Proven success guiding students through competitive undergraduate admissions is required.
- Strong organizational and project management skills and the ability to manage multiple students and timelines are required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
- Guide prospective BS/MD and direct medical program applicants through the admissions process, including school selection, application strategy, essays, resumes, recommendations, timelines, and interviews.
- Help students strengthen their academic and extracurricular profiles and develop compelling application materials.
- Support students in researching and evaluating best-fit BS/MD, pre-med, and undergraduate programs aligned with their goals and interests.
- Provide guidance and feedback on personal statements, supplemental essays, and interview preparation while helping students maintain an authentic voice.
- Support students with project planning, application timeline management, and progress tracking through internal organizational tools.
- Stay up to date on BS/MD, direct medical, pre-med, and undergraduate admissions trends to provide timely and strategic guidance.
