Requirements
  • At least 6 years of experience as a Cook, Lead Cook, or Sous Chef.
  • Experience preparing therapeutic and modified diets.
  • Strong knowledge of food preparation, kitchen safety, sanitation, and food-handling practices.
  • Successful completion of a recognized food safety course may be required.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Responsibilities
  • Prepare high-quality meals for residents.
  • Prepare meals that meet therapeutic, modified, and other dietary needs.
  • Follow menus, recipes, portion guidelines, and dietary requirements accurately.
  • Maintain food quality, presentation, and consistency.
  • Follow food safety, sanitation, and food-handling procedures.
  • Keep kitchen and work areas clean, organized, and sanitary.
  • Coordinate with the dining services team to prepare and serve meals on time.
  • Contribute to a positive, respectful, and team-oriented kitchen environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
