  • Significant experience in operational strategy, transformation or operational excellence in financial services, fintech, payments or another regulated, high-volume environment.
  • A proven record of setting an AI or automation strategy and delivering it in an operational setting, from use cases and business cases through to deployment, adoption and measured results such as reduced manual effort or capacity released.
  • Experience building and leading a team of operations managers, analysts, planners or improvement specialists.
  • A track record of running an improvement portfolio: building business cases, prioritising competing initiatives, managing dependencies and stopping work that no longer pays off.

  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to set credible baselines, measure benefits and present clear recommendations to the COO and senior leaders.
Responsibilities

  • Set targets for the share of operational work automated, prioritise the highest-value processes and measure the capacity released.
  • Own and build the team that translates operational strategy into a prioritised improvement and AI roadmap; define each initiative's problem, intended benefit, dependencies and delivery accountability, and lead delivery of key strategic projects.
  • Build a consistent approach to capacity and workforce planning, developing demand forecasts and capacity models that help allocate resources.
  • Lead cross-functional process redesign, focusing on how work moves between functions and where it can be automated; work with the Head of Operations and agree changes with process owners.
  • Establish a framework for documenting operational controls and coordinating first-line testing; help process owners identify gaps and track corrective actions, working with Risk and Compliance on the approach.
  • Manage the overall improvement portfolio, make dependencies and resource constraints visible, and provide recommendations to the COO and functional leaders when priorities compete or expected benefits no longer justify the work.
  • Define how improvements will be measured, establish credible starting points and assess the effect of changes on service quality, control performance, capacity and cost.
Desired Qualifications

Exclusive: FxPro sells EU clients to Capital.com as a "strategic optimisation, not a retreat"

Exclusive: FxPro sells EU clients to Capital.com as a "strategic optimisation, not a retreat" Wednesday, 14/10/2026 | 02:00 GMT-7 by Arnab Shome * FxPro established its presence in Europe after receiving its Cyprus licence in 2007. * "Our international markets have become the primary drivers of the business," said its COO, Peter Aust, stressing that it is still maintaining its London presence. FxPro has agreed to sell its client book under its Cyprus entity to Capital.com, Finance Magnates has learned exclusively. Peter Aust, Chief Operating Officer of FxPro, termed the move "a strategic step to further align [the broker's] operations with our long-term growth ambitions" and stressed that the Cyprus business is "not a significant part of the Group." The approval of the deal is currently pending with the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC), Capital.com detailed in a press release. Capital.com also added that only clients who meet its onboarding and risk standards will be transfered, and each will be assessed under its own client categorisation, appropriateness, target market and KYC requirements. However, the sale would not affect FxPro's broader operations, which have a massive presence outside the European bloc. "The vast majority of our growth in recent years has come from outside of Europe," Aust added. "Our international markets have become the primary drivers of the business, and we want to focus our investment, resources and innovation where we are seeing the greatest momentum." "We are simply letting go of a small and specific part of our business" FxPro received its Cyprus Investment Firm (CIF) licence in 2007, under which it expanded its presence across the European bloc. In addition to Cyprus, the broker also holds licences from regulators in the United Kingdom, the Bahamas and the Seychelles. "It's important to be clear about what [the deal] means," Aust stressed, adding that the FxPro Group remains fully independent. "We are simply letting go of a small and specific part of our business, and FxPro continues forward with the same ownership, leadership and long-term strategy." Justifying the rationale behind divesting the clients under the Cyprus unit, the COO said that the Group has been aligning its corporate structure with the way its business has evolved. "By streamlining areas that no longer reflect our growth profile, we're able to invest more decisively in the markets that do. That's strategic optimisation, not a retreat." He also highlighted that the broker is retaining its FCA licence and its headquarters in the City of London, reflecting its "long-term commitment to one of the world's most established and respected financial centres." Capital.com's expansion push. Capital.com, meanwhile, appears to be stretching its presence wherever possible. The broker, owned by billionaire Viktor Prokopenya, bought the retail and professional client book of OvalX, previously known as ETX Markets, in 2023 after that broker decided to close down. It is also on a spree to acquire new licences and has recently become regulated in South Africa, a market where several other brokers find it expensive to operate. It has applied for regulatory licences in Japan and Turkey, while hiring local CEOs in Brazil and Chile, signalling expansion into those countries. It also appears to be establishing local presences in Bahrain and Azerbaijan. Although it has not publicly revealed its global expansion plans, job postings show that it is also looking to secure a licence in Singapore. Capital.com runs its European operations from its base in Cyprus. Commenting on the deal with FxPro, Christoforos Soutzis, Europe CEO at Capital.com, said: "This step will strengthen our reach in Europe and once the transfer completes, will bring a well-established client base into the environment we have built for everyone who uses Capital.com." The broker also went beyond CFDs to add physical stock trading for traders in Europe, with plans to expand it in the UK and the UAE. The sale of FxPro's European client book came after Finance Magnates exclusively reported on Trade Nation agreeing to acquire the UK client book of legacy brand FXCM and AvaTrade buying most of its other businesses. Capital.com goes beyond CFDs, launches stocks and ETFs in Europe.

Capital.com goes beyond CFDs, launches stocks and ETFs in Europe. Monday, 28/09/2026 | 01:02 GMT-7 by Arnab Shome * The broker has launched commission-free direct investing in stocks and ETFs for eligible clients across nearly all of its EEA markets, covering more than 2,280 instruments across US and European markets. * The UAE and UK are next in the rollout, due in the coming months, though the company gave no specific dates. Capital.com has launched direct investing in stocks and exchange-traded funds (ETFs) for clients across its European markets, adding long-term ownership to a platform that has so far focused on short-term trading. Announced today (Monday), the broker described it as a step toward becoming a multi-asset trading and investment platform. The offering covers more than 2,280 stocks and ETFs across the US and European markets, including a range of local European companies. Capital.com charges no commission on stock or ETF investments. Eligible clients can access them across nearly all of the company's European Economic Area markets. Execution-Only, alongside existing tools. Capital.com offers stocks and ETFs on an execution-only, non-advised basis, which means it does not recommend which ones to buy. Clients gain access through the standard onboarding process that the company applies to new products. The new products sit alongside the research, charting, and portfolio tools already on the platform. The broker said clients can apply the same information to a long-term holding as they would to a short-term position. According to the broker, the launch reflects how clients use markets. Some act on a short-term view, while others build positions they plan to hold for years. Direct ownership of stocks and ETFs gives the second group a dedicated product, sitting next to the short-term trading instruments already offered. Christoforos Soutzis, CEO Europe at Capital.com, said clients often span both approaches. "Many trade on short-term views and build long-term positions within the same week," Soutzis said. He added that the company decided to become a multi-asset provider so clients in Europe have "a genuine choice between the two, in one place." Sasha Gubochkin, Chief Product Officer at Capital.com, said every product added to the platform, on web and app, has to pass one test. "Does it help a client understand their situation more clearly before they act?" Gubochkin said. He said the design principles will stay the same as the product range grows, with less noise, less urgency and information presented so that the decision belongs to the client. UAE and UK Next in Line. Europe is the first region to receive the offering. Capital.com said stocks and ETFs will be rolled out across its other markets, including the UAE and the UK, in the coming months. The announcement did not give specific dates for those launches or list which EEA markets are excluded. The company said the wider move reflects its aim to serve a range of client needs, from traders acting on short-term views to investors building long-term positions, within a single platform.
