Requirements
  • The candidate must be at least 21 years old and pass a criminal background check.
  • The candidate must have a high school education or equivalent.
  • The candidate may need to work rotating shifts with varied hours, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.
  • The candidate must be flexible to work in different department sectors, including cultivation, cleaning, moving supplies or equipment, packaging, and other locations as needed.
  • The candidate must identify problems with cannabis strains or products and communicate them to direct supervisors.
  • The candidate must have a basic understanding of state cannabis laws, rules, and regulations.
  • The candidate must work effectively with others and adapt quickly to changes in policies, procedures, methods, and techniques.
  • The candidate must use independent judgment regarding product processing while considering quality, projections, and goals.
  • The candidate must understand and implement company and cultivation-department rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • The candidate must have fundamental cultivation knowledge and be able to learn and receive guidance in related areas.
  • The candidate must analyze potential problems with plants or products being processed.
  • The candidate must communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers.
  • The candidate must have normal or corrective vision, color vision, and the ability to distinguish letters, numbers, and symbols.
  • The candidate must be able to lift up to 50 pounds with or without assistance.
  • The candidate must be able to climb, push, pull, stoop, grasp, walk, sit, stand, bend, and reach for the duration of a shift.
  • The candidate must have the manual dexterity to operate job-related equipment and normal hearing.
Responsibilities
  • Perform all tasks in the indoor harvest grow.
  • Maintain mother plants and perform cloning, transplanting, nutrient and pH management, water management, airflow management, temperature and humidity control, pest and disease control, integrated pest management implementation, and plant transfers from vegetative growth to flowering.
  • Manage plant scheduling and organization to project daily, weekly, and monthly plant needs and maximize plant yield.
  • Catalog and maintain the organization of plants, tags, and pruning biomass.
  • Maintain and follow cultivation-department policies and procedures.
  • Wash and sanitize equipment and inspect tools to ensure they are free of pests, viruses, and disease.
  • Adapt cultivation techniques to different cannabis strains, styles, and types while maintaining production pace and quality.
  • Break down flowers from plant stems and stalks, separate unusable waste from usable product, and track unusable waste for each batch.
  • Complete work accurately and thoroughly within production standards and timelines.
  • Maintain the organization and cleanliness of the cultivation facility.
  • Clean processing areas and equipment at the end of each shift.
  • Follow personal hygiene and company and state health guidelines while processing patient medicine.
  • Take instructions and constructive feedback from managers to maintain quality standards and production goals.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications
  • Previous agricultural, warehouse, manufacturing, or laborer experience is preferred.
  • Knowledge of pest and disease control management is a plus.
  • Knowledge or experience with METRC compliance is a plus.
  • Further understanding of cannabis industry laws and regulations is appreciated.

Connected Cannabis Co. raises $30 million to bring its designer weed strains to more states

Connected Cannabis Co. was founded in 2009 and has since grown to become a leading cultivator of designer cannabis strains. Today, the company announced $30 million in debt and equity financing. This comes after the company raised a $25 million Series A in 2019. The new round was led by existing investors including Navy Capital and One Tower Group. Emerald Park Capital, an affiliate of Bryant Park Capital, and Presidio View Capital also participated.
