Mechanical Engineer
About the job
- Strong piping fundamentals, including ASME B31.1, ASME B31.3, stress analysis, and P&ID development.
- Working proficiency with relevant mechanical engineering tools such as AutoPIPE, Plant 3D, Revit MEP, or similar.
- Ability to perform mechanical engineering and automate the workflow end to end.
- Deliver complete mechanical packages on live projects, including pipe specifications, smart P&IDs, 3D piping models, stress analysis using AutoPIPE, and IFC isometric construction packages.
- Build a parametric design engine that generates piping layouts for traditional chilled-water and advanced liquid-cooling architectures from a single parameter template.
- Own cross-discipline coordination, including mechanical equipment loads feeding electrical calculations and pipe support loads feeding structural design.
- Serve as the Professional Engineer of record for all mechanical deliverables.
- A Professional Engineer license in at least one United States state is preferred but not required.
- Experience with AutoPIPE, Plant 3D, Revit MEP, or similar tools is desirable.
