Bloomberg Industry Group hires video producer Joshi. September 18, 2026. Posted by chris roush. Bloomberg Industry Group has hired documentary filmmaker and video journalist Amitabh Joshi as a video producer. He starts Monday. Joshi will help launch a new video initiative focused on turning Bloomberg Industry Group's legal, tax and government reporting into highly produced short-form videos. He will work with reporters and editors across the newsroom to produce videos based on their reporting, while also developing original stories of his own. Most recently, Joshi has worked as a director and producer for Freethink. He previously produced Heard on the Street for The Wall Street Journal, adapting the Journal's financial analysis for video, and has also produced work for PBS's "American Masters," Firelight Media and Art21. Joshi is also an accomplished documentary filmmaker and cinematographer. His first feature documentary, "Tashi's Turbine," about an effort to bring wind power to a remote village in Nepal, premiered on PBS's World Channel and received a Special Jury Mention at CAAMFest and a jury prize at the BBVA Mountain Film Festival of Torelló. He was also a co-producer on "A Little Wisdom," which had its U.S. premiere at SXSW and won DOC NYC's Viewfinders Competition. His latest feature documentary, "Have You Seen My Gods?," follows the repatriation of a sacred Nepalese statue that had been stolen decades earlier and later surfaced in a U.S. museum. Joshi wrote and directed the film. Joshi holds an MFA in Social Documentary Film from the School of Visual Arts.
