- High School Diploma or GED and a minimum of one year of experience in a related field.
- Ability to multitask, manage time, and maintain strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently or on a team with other professionals.
- Knowledge of standard office administrative practices and procedures, standard office equipment, computer applications, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word.
- Ability to utilize technology to manage reports and spreadsheets.
- Techniques for dealing effectively with the public and staff in person and over the telephone.
- Provide program information, referral, and crisis intervention services to people telephoning or visiting the office.
- Work with the clinical lead to determine a suitable level of care and schedule evaluations when appropriate.
- Respond to calls and walk-ins from clients seeking admission.
- Interview consumers to obtain essential information needed to meet program admission requirements.
- Maintain knowledge of insurance restrictions to ensure appropriate assignments and collect information regarding service coverage and eligibility.
- Inform clients about sliding fee scales and determine subsidized services when available, when applicable.
- Complete insurance eligibility approval and obtain initial authorization from insurance companies for new and readmitted consumers, when applicable.
- Document new and updated client demographic and billing information in the computer.
- Market programs by answering questions and providing informational brochures.
- Provide information from updated directories of internal and external referral sources and community resources.
- Assist in emergency situations involving clients seeking treatment.
- Share complete and timely information about identified risks.
- Scan documents into the electronic system or file when applicable.
- Attend required supervision and meetings.
- Maintain tracking requirements for programs.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Knowledge of electronic health records is a plus.

Beth Israel Lahey Health is rolling out Heidi's ambient AI scribing tool to all its physicians following a successful trial across its facilities. The health system, which serves over 6,000 providers across 14 hospitals and 175 primary care practices, prioritises addressing physician burnout, with nearly half of US physicians reporting burnout. During a six-month trial offering Heidi to 1,000 providers, the majority adopted the technology. Survey results showed 89% were satisfied with note quality, 90% felt more present with patients, 74% reduced after-hours work time, and 82% experienced reduced cognitive load during visits. The implementation demonstrates how ambient AI can deliver immediate relief to physicians whilst benefiting patients and the healthcare system. Heidi supports over 2 million consultations weekly globally and has raised $96.6 million from investors including Point72 Private Investments and Blackbird.
