  • Graduation from a college with federally authorized accreditation or registration by New York State with a bachelor's degree, including or supplemented by at least 24 credit hours in accounting.
Responsibilities
  • Assist in preparing audit reports and making recommendations for changes and improvements in accordance with findings.
  • Examine accounting records to assure the validity and legality of transactions.
  • Verify the accuracy of recorded transactions and reconcile accounts.
  • Verify vouchers, purchase orders, and inventories.
  • Correct errors and deviations from regular procedures.
  • Prepare work papers and reports of audit findings.
  • Perform related work as required.
