About the Job

Requirements

  • Basic experience using AI tools, developing agents, and prompting is required.
  • Strong expertise in Python scripting, general understanding of VHDL and Verilog, programming, and efficient handling of different data formats are required.
  • A basic understanding of ASIC design methodologies in digital development, analog/mixed-signal simulation, and wafer testing is required.
  • Familiarity with platform-specific advantages and disadvantages of AI platforms for applying them to identified use cases is required.
  • Very good English skills are required.
  • A university degree (Diplom/M.Sc.) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a comparable field, with excellent academic results, is required.

Responsibilities

  • Research current AI platforms and tools based on available commercial, open-source, internal, and academic solutions.
  • Gain in-depth understanding of the ASIC development process.
  • Analyze and integrate multimodal source solutions, including XML register maps, VHDL code files, and Python-based test descriptions, and convert them into machine-readable formats such as Markdown.
  • Address high-impact use cases throughout the ASIC development lifecycle across digital design and verification, ASIC testing, and analog/mixed-signal verification, including automated VHDL code generation, automated generation of wafer-test elements, coverage-driven regression testing and optimization, AMS testbench generation, and closed-loop evaluation and optimization of test cases.
  • Select architectures, implement, and critically evaluate scalable and portable AI concepts, such as human-in-the-loop versus fully automated AI agents, for the use cases under investigation.
  • Integrate developed solutions holistically into the ASIC development workflow and manage associated data using modern version-control tools such as Git.
  • Collaborate and actively exchange ideas with ASIC development experts and internal and external research partners and expert networks.
  • Contribute to innovative projects in international and interdisciplinary teams.
  • Write scientific publications and publish and present research findings at international conferences and in journals.

About the Company

Bosch Home Comfort

Makes heating, cooling and hot-water equipment

Bosch Home Comfort makes heating, cooling and hot-water equipment for homes, commercial buildings and industrial users. Its portfolio combines electric heat pumps with gas-fired boilers and hybrid systems, giving customers different ways to control building temperatures and supply hot water. The business sells equipment through its brands' sales networks, with products adapted to regional building needs and energy requirements. Its inverter-driven heat pumps adjust compressor output to match demand rather than running constantly at full power. The Bosch business unit was formed through the merger of Bosch and Buderus heating activities in 2004 and is headquartered in Wetzlar, Germany.
