Requirements
- A high school diploma or GED is required.
- Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association is required.
Responsibilities
- Work under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse while performing multi-skilled duties within the limits of training and certification.
- Assist the nursing team with patient-care activities and related services for patients' personal needs, comfort, and safety.
- Assist patients with personal hygiene, dressing, and walking.
- Change bed linens and assist with patient transportation to tests and procedures.
- Serve and collect food trays and provide patients with between-meal nourishment as needed.
- Record patient temperature or vital signs under the direction of a nurse.
Desired Qualifications
- Completion of a Certified Nurse Assistant program within six months if not already certified.
- Current registration as a Certified Nurse Assistant in South Carolina and current status on the Nurse Aide Registry if certified.
