About the job
- At least 3 years of experience in an SRE or DevOps Engineer role, working with a modern stack including Kubernetes, Terraform, and public cloud providers.
- Experience making and explaining technical decisions and trade-offs involving risk, cost, scalability, and maintainability.
- Ability to build trust in technical decisions with SREs, developers, project managers, clients, and leadership.
- Ability to support the development and inspire the SRE team.
- Ability to determine appropriate use of artificial intelligence in the team with attention to efficiency, quality, security, and good practices.
- Define a clear and sustainable vision for infrastructure and SRE practices.
- Design robust, secure, and scalable architectures and explain them to stakeholders.
- Build a technical strategy suited to the context, including infrastructure from scratch, migration, automation, developer experience, security, and DevOps practices.
- Challenge project technical choices to optimize costs through design-to-cost and cost reduction.
- Remain hands-on and contribute actively while ensuring delivery quality.
- Ensure the quality, performance, and technical consistency of deliverables.
- Produce and evolve infrastructure using Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, AWS, and Google Cloud.
- Propose pragmatic alternatives when a technical choice threatens execution because of complexity, cost, or technical debt.
- Help junior SREs and DevOps engineers develop key skills through workplace training and a skills matrix.
- Practice pair programming, code review, and technical coaching.
- Analyze defects and incidents to strengthen team knowledge and improve the system.
- Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) certification.
