Responsibilities
  • Configure and optimize Materials Management processes including Procure to Pay, purchase requisition and order management, source lists and quota arrangements, vendor management, inventory management, reservations and movements, material master data, release strategies, and pricing.
  • Use AI copilots to generate functional specifications, validate configuration logic, create test cases, and automate documentation.
  • Support end-to-end delivery across requirements gathering, solution design, configuration, system integration testing, user acceptance testing, deployment, and hypercare.
  • Integrate Materials Management with Sales and Distribution, Financial Accounting, Production Planning, Quality Management, and external supplier systems using standard application programming interfaces, IDocs, and middleware.
  • Apply AI tools to accelerate requirement interpretation, process design, material and vendor data validation, error diagnostics, test creation, regression analysis, change impact assessments, and document generation.
  • Integrate pre-built AI services to enhance Materials Management operations through automated classification, predictive signals, and intelligent summarization of purchase order exceptions or goods receipt/invoice receipt issues.
  • Use large language model-assisted troubleshooting to reduce incident resolution time.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement governance, audit policies, material master standards, and operational controls.
  • Participate in workshops, walkthroughs, and process optimization discussions supported by AI-generated insights.
  • Collaborate with procurement, warehouse, finance, production, Quality Management, and integration teams to deliver cohesive Materials Management solutions.
  • Contribute reusable templates, checklists, and AI-augmented best practices for Materials Management configuration and testing.
Desired Qualifications
  • SAP Materials Management certification in S/4HANA Sourcing and Procurement.
  • Experience with Ariba, Fieldglass, or other procurement platforms.
  • Exposure to warehouse or logistics processes, including Warehouse Management or Extended Warehouse Management.
  • Familiarity with automated testing frameworks such as Tricentis.

Microsoft tops Accenture as AI infrastructure scales faster than consulting services

Accenture reported revenue of nearly $74.2 billion for fiscal year 2026, up 6.5% year-over-year, with net income of roughly $8.5 billion. The professional services firm serves approximately 9,000 clients globally with 814,000 employees. Microsoft generated revenue of nearly $331.8 billion in FY 2026, a 17.8% increase, with net income of approximately $133.7 billion. The company's net margin reached close to 40.3%. Both companies maintained a debt-to-equity ratio of approximately 0.3x. Microsoft's free cash flow reached nearly $67.0 billion, whilst Accenture's was roughly $11.6 billion. Accenture recently addressed a $25 million settlement with the Department of Justice regarding federal contracting practices. Microsoft faces securities fraud class action lawsuits involving AI and Copilot claims, alongside antitrust scrutiny and an IRS tax audit.

Accenture surges 17% on Q4 beat with $18.7B revenue, but analyst warns stock fully priced at 15x forward earnings

Accenture soars 20% on upbeat fiscal 2027 forecast, lifting IBM and Cognizant

Accenture partners with AWS to deliver cloud and AI tools for mid-sized companies

Accenture has announced a new collaboration with Amazon Web Services to deliver cloud and AI offerings specifically for mid-sized companies generating between $300 million and $3 billion in annual revenue. The technology bundle, available through AWS Marketplace, includes tools for virtual machine migration, cloud spending optimisation, security strengthening, and AI system risk testing. The offerings fall under Accenture Edge, a dedicated business unit serving mid-market clients. Accenture and Google Cloud have launched Horizon, an open-source software development platform for Android Automotive Operating System, with Volvo Cars as the lead industry partner.
