Deloitte digital regulation partner rejoins Norton Rose Fulbright to spearhead its Digital Regulation practice. Global law firm Norton Rose Fulbright has significantly strengthened its global technology and disputes offering with the appointment of highly regarded digital regulation lawyer Joanna Conway as a partner in London. Joanna rejoins the firm to build on and expand its Digital Regulation practice, bringing together the depth of skills and experience across the firm in a focused offering to support digital businesses in responding to an increasingly complex regulatory landscape. Joanna rejoins from Deloitte, where she built and led its award-winning UK digital regulation legal practice and served as a global legal lead for its multidisciplinary digital regulatory offering, supporting some of the world's biggest corporations to efficiently transform and manage the demands of intersecting global regulations affecting digital business. She trained and practised at Norton Rose Fulbright and will return to the technology disputes practice, working closely with other regulatory, investigations, competition, data and cyber lawyers to drive forward the digital regulation space. Her work spans the full lifecycle of digital regulation, including online safety, digital services and AI-related regulatory frameworks, risk assessments, regulatory engagement and high-stakes investigations, as well as follow-on disputes and group litigation claims. She has developed a strong client portfolio that includes prominent international technology platforms and consumer-facing businesses, and has led multidisciplinary teams on complex, cross-border regulatory matters. K&L Gates welcomes corporate partner in Frankfurt. The firm has tapped Norton Rose Fulbright for talent as it continues to build out its presence in the German and European M&A markets. Corporate lawyer Nils Rahlf has departed Norton Rose Fulbright following a 12-year tenure to join K&L Gates' Frankfurt office as partner. The hire was confirmed yesterday (1 September). Rahlf has more than 25 years' experience in domestic and cross-border merger and acquisition (M&A) deals, as well as private equity and venture capital transactions. With a client base spanning the technology, digital media, consumer goods, financial services and life sciences industries, his practice further extends to corporate and group law issues. Rahlf spent the first 16 years of his legal career practising at Morgan, Lewis & Bockius, making partner in 2004. He departed for Norton Rose Fulbright in 2014.
