Responsibilities
Open and close Talley Student Union and Witherspoon Student Center each day while ensuring health and safety protocols are met.
Maintain facility cleanliness, safety, and overall appearance.
Manage daily building operations and coordinate with event operations for a seamless experience.
Communicate event and facility updates to relevant staff.
Inspect common areas and assist with suite issues as needed.
Complete maintenance reports and submit and follow up on work orders.
Engage with guests and clients to provide information about NC State and the Student Centers.
Provide coverage at the information desk and loading dock as needed.
Serve as the primary initial point of contact for non-routine issues.
Respond to incidents, injuries, and crises.
Complete detailed shift reports.
Work special events and perform other assigned duties.
Attend and actively participate in mandatory staff meetings and training.
Adhere to all NC State Student Centers policies and expectations.
Provide customer service to guests and clients.
Arrive early for shifts, wear the complete uniform, clock in and out promptly, use cell phones only at appropriate times, prioritize clients, and finish duties before taking a break.
Job Title: Building Manager
Tier: 3
Location: Talley Student Union and Witherspoon Student Center
Work Schedule: Shift-based; 8-20 hours per week between 7am and 1am; includes nights and weekends; special hours apply occasionally.
Compensation: Minimum starting wage $13.00 with additional opportunity for raises based on years of service within Campus Enterprises; In addition, Student Centers employees are eligible for an end-of-semester bonus up to $200.
