About the job
- At least 7 years of experience in environmental consulting, EHS leadership, or transaction environmental review.
- A degree in environmental science, engineering, or a related field.
- Hands-on familiarity with ASTM E1527 Phase I standards and regulatory permitting.
- Scope and review Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments with qualified environmental firms.
- Assess site contamination, legacy liabilities, and ecological risks.
- Check compliance with air, water, waste, and hazardous materials permits, including EPA, OSHA, and state rules.
- Review EHS programs, safety records, incident history, and open enforcement actions.
- Evaluate ESG and sustainability exposure, including emissions reporting and investor expectations.
- Estimate remediation and compliance costs and recommend indemnities or price adjustments.
- After close, lead EHS integration and a safety and sustainability improvement plan.
- Professional Engineer or Certified Hazardous Materials Manager credential.
- Experience in specialty chemicals, oil and gas, mining, or industrial manufacturing.
