Requirements
  • Over 15 years of professional experience in mechanical engineering design of various generations of mobile, handheld or wearable consumer electronics products
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Master-level CAD design experience that translates into speed of iterations combined with the ability to compare multiple options and present the trades space and risks
  • Expert level in Creo is preferred. Ability to also work in NX is highly preferred
  • Understanding of FEA for structural and thermal simulation
  • Experience designing for Human Factors and user experience
  • Experience with DFM and in designing, prototyping, testing, to shipping high volume products
  • Strong influence and collaboration skills
Responsibilities
  • Lead the end-to-end mechanical design for a device or system
  • Push the state-of-the-art in design, materials, and assembly processes in order to reach solutions for a highly constrained design space
  • Convert the Industrial Design team's vision to mechanical designs that also meet the product KPIs
  • Work across the entire product development lifecycle, although the focus is on the early stage of ideation and solution development
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams from NTI to high volume manufacturing

  • Mentored early career Mechanical Engineers and helped multiply your impact through coaching and directing others
  • Expert level NX experience
  • Master’s or Ph.D in Mechanical Engineering or other engineering discipline
