Record daily care notes.
Report any significant client changes to the Agency office.
Have car insurance.
Have a valid driver's license.
Be at least 18 years old.
Responsibilities
Provide in-home care to help clients, including elderly people and people with intellectual or physical disabilities, stay or gain independence.
Perform housekeeping and cleaning, and do laundry.
Prepare meals and cook.
Shop for groceries for or with the client.
Provide transportation and run errands.
Assist with personal care and bathing.
Provide companionship.
Accompany clients to community places and support socialization.
Engage clients in activities such as games and memory books.
Coach, discuss, roleplay, and teach to help clients work toward goals including social and behavioral functioning, coping skills, self-advocacy, confidence building, relationship building, and safe boundaries.

This job requires caring for others who need help staying or gaining independence AT THEIR OWN HOME including the elderly or clients with intellectual or physical disabilities of all ages.
Direct Support Professional (DSP)/Caregiver Essential Job Functions (differ based on client needs):
Housekeeping/Cleaning & laundry
Meal preparation & cooking
Grocery shopping for or with the client
Transportation & errands
Personal cares and bathing
Companionship
Visit places in the community/socialize
Engage in activities (games, memory books)
Assist with goals such as, but not limited to social and behavior functioning, coping skills, self-advocacy, confidence building, relationship building, safe boundaries, etc. by Coaching, discussing, roleplaying, teaching etc.
