Inside Sharp's expanded Executive Experience Center.

Inside Sharp's expanded Executive Experience Center. Last week, I visited Sharp's newly expanded Executive Experience Center in Downers Grove, Illinois, and the thing that stood out was the layout and how thoughtfully the technology is presented. The space gives partners and customers plenty to explore, with demonstrations that make it easier to understand the options in front of them. The EEC's footprint has grown 89%, from 2,690 to 5,096 square feet, and all of Sharp's B2B product categories are represented: displays, projectors, multifunction printers, production print and Dynabook laptops. Even Sharp appliances make an appearance, with a refrigerator in the café and drawer microwaves upstairs. For those of Ravepubs in AV, seeing that range together offers a fuller picture of the company. It also gives partners an opportunity to learn about customer needs beyond the display project that may have prompted a visit. As Sharp's display headquarters, the Downers Grove location specifically focuses on category. The center builds on the display offerings at Sharp's Montvale, New Jersey, location, with more emphasis on digital signage, retail, transportation, AI and NaviSet software solutions, and dvLED. Desktop and large-format displays, projection and interactive boards are also integrated. dvLED. One of my favorite demonstrations was also one of the simplest: five dvLED displays lined up side by side, showing the same content at different pixel pitches. Ravepubs talk about pixel pitch constantly in AV, and this setup gives customers a way to see what those specifications mean. Each pitch is labeled, and visitors can move closer or step back to compare. For partners, it is a practical starting point for discussing content, viewing distance and where a finer pitch will make a noticeable difference. Longevity. Another display included in the tech lineup has already put in about two decades of work. The MultiSync LCD4000 on display operated at Vienna Airport for approximately 20 years. According to Sharp, it accumulated more than 175,000 hours of continuous, 24-hour-a-day operation. That is a lot of time on a screen - and it still works! I loved seeing it among the newer technology. For customers who depend on displays every day, longevity and the engineering behind it deserve attention. And it offers a great amount of trust - I would feel good about a display I bought if I knew others from the brand were still functional after that amount of use and that amount of time. The facility also includes an LED and projection lab across the hall from the production print suite, supporting dvLED certification training and digital cinema troubleshooting, training and support. Those resources extend the center's usefulness to the people installing and maintaining the technology. What stood out throughout my visit was how much the space offers people the opportunity to explore Sharp's full lineup. Customers can compare products firsthand, while partners can connect those demonstrations to specific applications. Congratulations to the whole Sharp team. The expanded center makes good use of its additional room, and I think partners and customers will get a lot out of spending time there. If you are arranging a visit, leave time to explore beyond the products you initially came to see.

Sharp announces Q-SYS(TM) Verified Plugin for Sharp large-screen displays.

Sharp announces Q-SYS(TM) Verified Plugin for Sharp large-screen displays. MONTVALE, N.J., Aug. 18, 2026 /PRNewswire/ - The audio-visual technology business within Sharp Imaging and Information Company of America (SIICA), a division of Sharp Electronics Corporation (SEC), today announced the Sharp Displays control plugin, which enables direct control and monitoring from within the Q-SYS Full Stack AV Platform. The plugin has received the Q-SYS Verified badge and is now available in Q-SYS Library. "Q-SYS is a widely adopted platform in enterprise and education environments, and this Q-SYS Verified plugin reflects our commitment to meeting customers where they are," said Mark Quiroz, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Sharp's Professional Display Division. "By integrating Sharp displays directly into the Q-SYS Ecosystem, we're helping integrators deliver consistent, high-quality AV experiences with greater efficiency and confidence." Developed in collaboration with Q-SYS and supported by Control Concepts, the Q-SYS Verified Plugin allows integrators to manage key display functions, including power, input selection, audio, brightness, diagnostics and status monitoring - directly from the Q-SYS Full Stack AV Platform. It supports all current Sharp large-format displays, Sharp All-in-One dvLED models, and legacy NEC large-format displays. There is also flexibility to access other display functions using Sharp's expansive control set. This is part of a shift toward simpler integration for partners, making it easier to specify Sharp in projects where Q-SYS is the designated platform. "We are always very excited to see manufacturers such as Sharp take steps to better integrate with predominant control system platforms. This will increase the quality of systems that require programmed control," said Joey D' Angelo president of D'Angelo and Associates, an independent AV systems consulting firm. The plugin is available through Q-SYS Library under Sharp Displays and includes configuration guidance and a detailed list of supported display models. "We have chosen to prominently feature our latest products on the show floor in collaboration with a few strategic partners, complemented with targeted meetings and discussions focused on our latest efforts and ongoing commitment to develop display solutions engineered for superior quality, performance, and longevity." This year's approach enables deeper conversations with customers, partners, and prospects around their specific business challenges and technology priorities, while still allowing attendees to experience Sharp innovations through its partner ecosystem across the show floor. Offering an intuitive SOC platform, the All-in-One dvLED displays create a unified user experience across Sharp's SOC display ecosystem and are designed for quick, hassle-free installations. It is a striking centerpiece built to elevate presentations and capture attention on the trade show floor. To ensure attendees maximize their InfoComm experience, Sharp is featuring its latest technology within additional strategic partner booths across the show floor. This includes Sharp's award winning All-In-One Direct View LED displays and traditional LCD displays that are engineered for performance and valued by global corporations, educational institutions, and retailers. To facilitate more focused discussions, technical workshops and demonstrations, Sharp will also host meetings at the "Sharp Oasis" located at the Las Vegas Country Club. Demonstrations of the newest solutions will include: * Sharp SDM Player with BrightSign Built In - in addition to being featured in BrightSign's booth, customers can also see this newly developed, customer-led solution while meeting with the Sharp team. * LD-EC Series dvLED - the new award-winning dvLED line redefines visual excellence by utilizing advanced Chip-on-Board technology, which delivers stunning contrast ratios up to 10,000 to 1, while simultaneously offering up to a 60% reduction in power consumption and a 50% faster installation time compared to traditional solutions. * LD-M Series COB All-In-One dvLED - Sharp's next generation All-In-One dvLED series, coming later this year. The series includes 108-inch, 135-inch, and 162-inch class size Full HD models, powered by COB technology for improved energy efficiency, greater durability, and reduced installation and maintenance costs. * PN-LB3 Series AQUOS BOARD(R) interactive displays - Sharp's newest addition to its interactive lineup.
