  • One to two years of experience in a physician practice or outpatient clinical setting is preferred.
  • Strong experience with E-Clinical Works is preferred.
  • CPR certification is required, or the candidate must be willing to obtain it upon hire.
  • The candidate must be flexible to travel within the region as needed.
  • The role requires clinical judgment and communication skills.
Responsibilities
  • Welcome patients and visitors and provide customer service.
  • Register patients by obtaining demographic, insurance, and payment information.
  • Handle service payments, including applicable co-pays.
  • Answer a multi-line phone system.
  • Reconcile collected monies daily.
  • Clean and stock the site with other team members.
  • Take patient histories and accurately document vital signs.
  • Perform point-of-care testing, including strep, mononucleosis, glucose, urinalysis, and pregnancy tests.
  • Conduct phlebotomy and prepare samples for laboratory processing.
  • Administer immunizations and injections according to provider orders.
  • Assist with routine examinations and procedures, including electrocardiograms, ear and eye irrigations, and pelvic examinations.
  • Educate patients about medication, preventive care, and follow-up instructions.
  • Handle patient callbacks, coordinate with pharmacies, and schedule referrals.
  • Keep examination rooms clean, stocked, and ready for patients.
  • Support front-desk duties, including check-in, insurance verification, and payment collection.
  • Participate in training and onboarding new team members.
