Security Engineer
About the job
- A Bachelor's degree, preferably in computer science or a technical discipline such as engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Three to five years of experience in a mainframe production support or operations environment.
- A thorough understanding of data center hardware and software technologies, including networking, storage, security, servers, mainframes, and load balancers.
- Expert-level experience with information technology security practices.
- One to three years of experience working with third-party mainframe software suppliers.
- Basic knowledge of mainframe operational tools, including Tivoli, CA-Sysview, and Omegamon.
- Experience with distributed, multi-platform architecture.
- Experience with high-volume production systems.
- One to five years of experience with TSO, MVS, JCL, JES III, FTP, and other operations-related mainframe technologies.
- One to three years of experience with RACF and CA-Top Secret security processes and procedures.
- Three or more years of experience developing, deploying, or supporting systems software and hardware technologies.
- The ability to handle multiple assignments concurrently.
- The ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers.
- The ability to follow technical methods and standards.
- An analytical approach to problem solving.
- Maintain and enhance data security infrastructure, applications, and processes.
- CISSP certification.
- Airline or travel industry experience.
