  • Surface insights that help sales and customer success leadership identify gaps, prioritize accounts, and improve forecast accuracy.
  • Design and deploy intelligent workflows that automate the renewal cycle, including proactive risk identification, renewal outreach sequencing, expansion opportunity detection, and churn propensity modeling.
  • Stay current with new artificial intelligence models, agent frameworks, and revenue intelligence tooling, and rapidly prototype and deploy new capabilities.
  • Write the code and build and ship production systems directly.
Desired Qualifications
  • Curiosity and willingness to continuously test new approaches and technologies.
  • Hands-on, execution-oriented approach and accountability for results.
  • Ability to structure complex problems and bring order to complexity.

Turn/River Capital is a technology-focused private equity fund that makes growth equity investments, buyouts, recapitalizations, and spin-outs in small-scale technology and web companies. It works by providing capital plus hands-on operating support, with active involvement from partner and former CEO Dominic Ang to help management optimize go-to-market strategies, accelerate growth, and improve profitability through lean operations and web-enabled distribution. The firm positions itself as the bridge between venture capital and traditional private equity, targeting companies that are too capital-efficient for VCs, too small for PE, and too messy for strategics. The goal is to help these lean, web-focused companies scale profitably and reach meaningful exits or sustained growth.

Simplify's Take

What believers are saying

  • Fund VI was oversubscribed, showing strong LP demand and dry powder for 2025-2027 deals.
  • SolarWinds delisted in April 2025, giving Turn/River private control over pricing and restructuring.
  • StarLIMS announced Turn/River backing on January 13, 2026, extending platform expansion into regulated software.

What critics are saying

  • SolarWinds still depends on post-breach reputation recovery after SEC litigation ended November 20, 2025.
  • Fund VI investors face concentrated software exposure; one failed turnaround can trap capital for years.
  • If SolarWinds integration stalls, Turn/River's operator brand weakens and future seller trust erodes quickly.

What makes Turn/River Capital unique

  • Dominic Ang's team pairs investors and operators, with Fund VI closing March 2025 at $2.5 billion.
  • Turn/River targets software-only carve-outs and buyouts, including SolarWinds for $4.4 billion in April 2025.
  • Its growth engineering playbook scales marketing, sales, and customer success inside profitable software businesses.
