Requirements
  • A master’s degree is required.
  • A degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or an applicable discipline is preferred.
  • An LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT license is required.
  • At least one year of social work or counseling experience is required.
  • The candidate must be at least 21 years old to meet licensure requirements.
  • A valid Indiana driver’s license and a driving record meeting Damar’s insurance eligibility requirements are required for positions requiring driving.
  • The candidate must have no felony convictions, substantiated charges of neglect, or other disqualifying criminal convictions.
  • The candidate must successfully complete a pre-employment physical.
  • The candidate must favorably meet and maintain Damar’s background screening.
Responsibilities
  • Maintain a clinical caseload.
  • Provide counseling services for identified clients and their support networks.
  • Perform comprehensive formal and functional assessments.
  • Implement, coordinate, monitor, document, and evaluate measurable treatment goals.
  • Maintain required productivity.
  • Participate in clinical staffing for clients.
  • Interact professionally with parents, school personnel, medical personnel, and other stakeholders.

  • Experience working with children with challenging behaviors, developmental disabilities, and/or emotional disabilities.

INDIANAPOLIS - Damar Services, Inc., an Indianapolis-based residential services provider for individuals with developmental disabilities, violated federal law when it refused to hire a deaf applicant, the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) charged in a lawsuit announced today.
