About the job
- A Top Secret/SCI with Full Scope Poly security clearance is required.
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline is required; four additional years of cloud-domain experience may substitute for the bachelor's degree.
- Four or more years of relevant cloud-domain experience are required.
- One year of experience implementing code that interacts with a Cloud Distributed File System is required.
- One year of experience implementing architectures that support complex MapReduce analytics is required.
- One year of experience implementing code that interacts with Cloud Distributed Coordination Frameworks is required.
- A Cloudera Certified Hadoop Developer, CompTIA Cloud+, AWS, or Microsoft Azure certification may substitute for one year of cloud experience.
- Provide cloud software research, development, and engineering services, including requirements analysis, software development, installation, integration, evaluation, enhancement, sustainment, testing, validation, and issue diagnosis and resolution.
- Design, implement, integrate, and test new features and capabilities for cloud-native service offerings.
- Conduct containerization and container deployment training sessions, including hands-on software configuration and programming exercises.
- Develop API-based interfaces to support search and presentation of operational data.
- Analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements.
- Debug existing software and correct defects.
- Recommend improvements to documentation and software development process standards.
- Design and code new software and modify existing software to add new features.
- Integrate existing software into new systems, modified systems, and operating environments.
- Develop simple data queries for existing databases, proposed databases, and data repositories.
- Write and review software and system documentation.
- Design and implement complex database and data repository interfaces and queries.
- Develop and implement algorithms to meet or exceed system performance and functional standards.
- Assist with developing and executing test procedures for software components.
- Develop software solutions by analyzing system performance standards, conferring with users and system engineers, analyzing systems flow, data usage and work processes, and investigating problem areas.
- Modify existing software to correct errors, adapt to new hardware, and improve performance.
- Design, develop, and modify software systems using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure design outcomes and consequences.
- Apply concepts to develop, test, and maintain high-performance, innovative cloud-based applications.
- Provide cloud technologies, techniques, and tools, including containerization, container orchestration, data integration pipelines, provisioning automation, monitoring, application management, and function-based technologies such as serverless technologies.
- Apply configuration management concepts and software development best practices.
