About You
You are a motivated self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is energized by the opportunity to help solidify the foundation of the Finance department. We are looking for an agile, autonomous team player who enjoys rolling up their sleeves to help scale the business.
About the Role
As a Director of Finance, you’ll have a key role in building our financial engine to scale. You will be influential in strategic and operational initiatives and will be making recommendations for short- and long-term decisions. You will impact the financial health and velocity at one of the fastest-scaling SaaS companies ever in the hospitality industry. In this role, you will be responsible for all facets of financial planning and analysis including the development of our operating budgets and of our financial and business planning processes. You will be core to creating our culture around financial rituals and rigor and be a catalyst for change where needed across different functions.
Responsibilities
- Lead all aspects of:
- (1) Strategic finance initiatives
- (2) Financial analysis & reporting including the development of operating plans, investor requests, and communications,
- (3) Accounting & bookkeeping responsibilities
- (4) Revenue operations
- Manage all monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities; prepare all three financial statements, including cash flow reports and projections
- Conduct financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting; ensure we have a clear and detailed understanding of the drivers of growth; develop actionable insights that will influence key decision-makers
- Create financial models and analysis for new and existing strategic business initiatives
- Assist with management and Board reporting including presentations and key analysis requests from investors and other external stakeholders
Qualifications
- 7+ years of strategic finance, operational finance, FP&A, and financial planning systems
- 2+ years of team management experience
- Experience developing forecasts, tracking actuals and variance, and creating clear and compelling narratives around financial data
- Experience synthesizing strategic business insights and determining root causeAdept in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets
- Passion for data and analysis, with a desire to drive a metrics-driven culture
- Ability to proactively manage and enhance financial systems and tools
- Have experience owning budgets for major functional areas within an organization, and building relationships with people across a wide array of levels and functions to hit targetsTrack record of success managing multiple responsibilities in the dynamic and relatively unstructured environment of a growth company
- SAAS experience is required
