About the job
- At least 6 years of experience working as a big data engineer; candidates must be able to articulate supported use cases and outcomes.
- Demonstrated knowledge of PySpark, Spark, Python, Scala, Hive, Pig, and MapReduce, including the ability to demonstrate these skills live during the interview.
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform.
- Experience with SQL.
- Experience delivering large-scale data engineering and business intelligence.
- Experience designing large-scale enterprise-level big data platforms.
- Experience working with and performing analysis using large data sets.
- Demonstrated experience working with or on a mature, self-organized agile team.
- A degree in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Engineering, or another technology-related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Experience with a NoSQL database, such as Spanner DB or a graph database.
