About the job
- A bachelor's degree is required.
- JLPT N1 certification is required.
- Intermediate to advanced reading proficiency in Kanji and Hiragana is required.
- Experience in research, data quality, and analysis is required; bilingual analyst experience is preferred.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with teams consisting of US- and international-based employees, as well as customer resources across multiple locations and time zones.
- Ability to provide detailed information and summarize effectively for management.
- Ability to work under pressure and in an environment of constant change.
- Ability to quickly learn and apply enterprise AI tools and technologies to support technical workflows and business objectives.
- Process companies whose patent records or information are in Japanese.
- Act as a Japanese expert, answering Japanese-related patent questions from the Harmonization Team.
- Conduct in-depth internet research to ensure global patent data quality, with additional focus on identifying, understanding, and accurately processing Japanese documents and information.
- Identify patent ownership through research into corporate structure, mergers and acquisitions, spin-offs, company name changes, and patent transactions.
- Conduct quality control measures to ensure data is accurate and reliable.
- Validate, update, and verify customer information in the Harmonizer Tool.
- Ensure updates or changes in the customer database are accurate and meet quality standards.
- Meet or exceed productivity targets based on efficiency; processing-time targets per customer may vary by process type and portfolio size.
- Identify future process improvements to improve team or individual performance.
- Communicate with internal stakeholders and team members to foster collaboration.
- Ensure data standards and service-level agreements are met.
- Communicate the status of tasks and projects in progress.
