Requirements
  • Demonstrate a record of research excellence appropriate to the candidate's rank.
  • Demonstrate the ability and willingness to mentor doctoral and/or post-doctoral trainees interested in health equity in cancer.
  • Have expertise focused on structural racism, disparities, and their impact on cancer-related outcomes; healthcare access and associated policies; measurement of structural racism; or interventions and/or policy changes that create racially just and equitable cancer health outcomes.
  • Have research expertise in molecular epidemiology, social epidemiology, biostatistics, informatics, or bioinformatics.
  • Submit a curriculum vitae, contact information for three references, a two-page research statement, and a one-page Statement of Contributions to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.
Responsibilities
  • Serve as core faculty members in the Cancer Risk and Control program in the Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center.
  • Conduct population science research within the Center for Cancer Health Equity.
  • Mentor doctoral and/or post-doctoral trainees interested in health equity in cancer.
  • Advise PhD students from Drexel School of Public Health programs.
  • Contribute to cross-school collaborations and cancer research focused on disparities and equity.
Desired Qualifications
  • Preference will be given to investigators focused on breast cancer, lung cancer, prostate cancer, multiple myeloma, or colorectal cancer.
  • Established investigators with a track record of National Cancer Institute grant funding are encouraged to apply.
  • Early-stage investigators with K99/R00 support are encouraged to apply.
