About the Job

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Engineering, Renewable Energy, Physics, Data Science, or a related technical discipline is required.
  • At least 7 years of experience in performance monitoring, energy analysis, or a related technical role in renewable energy or power generation, including at least 2 years in a management role.
  • Demonstrated experience leading performance monitoring and optimization functions for utility-scale renewable energy assets, including solar photovoltaic, wind, battery energy storage systems, or other energy infrastructure.
  • Experience managing technical teams and serving as an escalation point for complex performance analysis and optimization decisions.
  • Experience defining performance monitoring methodologies, key performance indicator frameworks, and loss classification standards for large renewable energy portfolios.
  • Deep technical knowledge of renewable energy asset operations, performance drivers, loss classification methodologies, and availability calculation frameworks.
  • Leadership and team management capabilities, including experience developing and motivating technical and analytical teams.
  • Advanced analytical and data interpretation skills to identify performance patterns, root causes, and optimization opportunities across a large, geographically distributed portfolio.
  • Strong understanding of remote monitoring platforms, supervisory control and data acquisition systems, and data analytics tools used in renewable energy operations.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills to translate complex technical findings into clear recommendations for Asset Managers and senior management.
  • A strategic mindset and hands-on approach, with the ability to balance portfolio-level oversight with operational detail and analytical rigor.
  • Fluency in English is required.

Responsibilities

  • Define and own the performance monitoring methodology, key performance indicator frameworks, loss classification standards, and availability calculation criteria applied across the portfolio.
  • Ensure monitoring standards are consistent, fit for purpose, and aligned with contractual performance guarantee frameworks and industry best practices.
  • Own the governance process for corrective and improvement action tracking, ensuring actions are defined, assigned, followed up, and closed in a structured and timely manner.
  • Define and maintain performance benchmarking frameworks, systematically comparing actual asset performance against expected production models, P50/P90 estimates, and contractual obligations.
  • Lead, coordinate, and develop the Performance Monitoring & Optimization team, setting clear objectives, priorities, and quality standards for outputs.
  • Act as the primary escalation point for complex performance issues, loss analysis cases, and improvement action decisions raised by team members or Asset Managers.
  • Provide technical guidance and coaching to Performance Monitoring Analysts, supporting their development and ensuring analytical consistency across the team.
  • Foster data-driven decision-making, operational excellence, and continuous improvement within the team.
  • Support team members' professional development by identifying training needs and growth opportunities aligned with business requirements.
  • Maintain a continuous, portfolio-level view of asset performance, availability, and energy yield, identifying systemic trends, underperformance patterns, and improvement opportunities.
  • Review and validate the team's performance analysis outputs for accuracy, consistency, and alignment with defined methodologies.
  • Review and approve periodic performance reports and key performance indicator dashboards prepared for Asset Managers, Hub Managers, and senior management.
  • Drive continuous optimization of asset performance across the portfolio, identifying and prioritizing improvement opportunities with the greatest impact on energy yield and availability.
  • Define and oversee fleet-wide improvement campaigns, coordinating with Asset Managers and operations and maintenance contractors to ensure effective implementation on site.
  • Use predictive analytics and operational data to proactively identify equipment degradation, performance risks, and optimization opportunities across the fleet.
  • Partner with Asset Management to ensure performance findings and improvement recommendations are communicated and implemented across assets.
  • Collaborate with O&M Strategy & Best Practices to incorporate monitoring insights into maintenance strategy, procedure updates, and contractor key performance indicator frameworks.
  • Work with OT & Digital to continuously improve monitoring platforms, data pipelines, and analytical tools used by the function.
  • Participate in portfolio reviews, governance meetings, and cross-functional forums as required, representing the Performance Monitoring & Optimization function.

Desired Qualifications

  • Knowledge of energy yield modelling, P50/P90 methodologies, supervisory control and data acquisition systems, remote monitoring platforms, and predictive analytics tools is considered an advantage.
  • Additional European languages are considered an advantage.

About the Company

Greenvolt

Develops biomass, wind, solar, storage assets

Greenvolt is a pan-European independent power producer and renewable energy developer focused on three pillars: sustainable biomass, utility-scale wind and solar projects, and distributed generation. It manages the full lifecycle of green energy assets—from development and construction to operation and strategic asset rotation—across multiple geographies. Its products come from electricity generation tied to long-term power purchase agreements, with revenue also derived from the strategic sale of mature renewable assets. The company is expanding into battery energy storage to enhance grid flexibility. Greenvolt distinguishes itself through strong execution capabilities, deep technical expertise, and a growing project pipeline supported by solid institutional backing. Its goal is to accelerate the global energy transition by enabling large-scale renewable developments and decentralized self-consumption, improving grid reliability, and helping customers reduce their carbon footprints.
