About the company

AGAT Laboratories provides analytical testing services for environmental, industrial, and energy projects across a network of 40+ coast-to-coast laboratories. It helps clients by performing precise laboratory analyses using modern instruments and developing technologies, then delivering clear results through a dedicated project manager and expert scientific staff. The labs combine chemistry, biochemistry, microbiology, geology, engineering, and specialty analyses to support decision-making throughout a project’s life cycle. What sets AGAT apart is its nationwide reach and collaborative, service-oriented approach—“Service Beyond Analysis”—which partners with clients to understand needs and solve challenges rather than just run tests. The company’s goal is to generate accurate data that clients can trust to guide their choices, and to grow by welcoming new labs, clients, and scientific developments, sample by sample.

What believers are saying

  • August 26, 2026 report redesign improves client usability and repeatable workflow stickiness.
  • AGAT launched enhanced ECOC in May 2026, lowering friction for environmental sample submissions.
  • September 2026 leadership hires in growth, HR, and safety signal active expansion across divisions.

What critics are saying

  • Eurofins and Pace keep larger PFAS capacity, pressuring pricing and turnaround in 2026.
  • Arizona certification creates compliance exposure; any PFAS quality failure would damage the Tempe growth engine.
  • No public layoffs or funding transparency means internal stress could surface fast during contract losses.

What makes AGAT Laboratories unique

  • Tempe became Arizona's only local PFAS lab for EPA 533, 537.1, and 1633 in June 2026.
  • October 5, 2026 Carbon Management Hub targets Alberta CCS and CCUS project planning.
  • AGAT spans Canada, Arizona, and Newfoundland after Avalon acquisition closed December 31, 2024.

AGAT Laboratories opens new environmental lab in Vancouver.

AGAT Laboratories opens new environmental lab in Vancouver. VANCOUVER, B.C. - AGAT Laboratories has opened a new Environmental Laboratory in Vancouver, B.C. AGAT Laboratories is expanding its network with the opening of a new environmental lab in Vancouver, B.C., strategically-placed to support industry growth on the West Coast. Marking a new milestone for AGAT, this laboratory joins Canada's largest privately-owned lab network to give clients greater access to analytical testing closer to where projects are taking place. "British Columbia is an important growth market for AGAT and for Canada," says Marissa Reckmann, CEO, AGAT Laboratories. "As investment in infrastructure, natural resources, and major projects continues across the province, having a local laboratory in Vancouver gives us greater capacity to support our clients and respond to the needs of a growing market." AGAT's Vancouver location will support the environmental sector along with B.C.'s industrial and mining industries. This facility joins other essential labs in Whitehorse, Yukon and Terrace, B.C. Together, the three labs support critical water testing where analysis is often required within 30 hours of collecting a sample. The new AGAT location is 3681 E 1st Ave., Vancouver, B.C. AGAT's Vancouver lab represents another step in ongoing investment in lab infrastructure across Canada as the company continues to expand capacity in key markets and support growing industries. The additional laboratory space provides greater flexibility to accommodate project timelines and client needs, with rush turnaround options available for select services. This new location reflects AGAT's continued investment in B.C. and brings its expertise, resources, and environmental analytical services closer to the clients and communities they serve.
