IT Department Manager - Client & Core Systems
About the job
- A completed education focused on business informatics, computer science, or a comparable qualification is required.
- At least five years of relevant IT work experience, preferably in Client & Core IT, is required.
- A thorough understanding of modern Microsoft environments is required, particularly Active Directory, Entra ID, M365, Exchange, Teams, and client and device management.
- Experience leading, developing, and organizing an IT team, and managing responsibilities, priorities, and resources, is required.
- Experience with IT security, automation, standardization, and lifecycle management is required.
- The ability to combine operational stability with technical and organizational development is required.
- Very good communication skills in German and English are required.
- A structured, solution-oriented working style and a hands-on mindset are required.
- Lead the Client & Core Systems department professionally and disciplinarily, and develop it strategically and organizationally.
- Hold overall responsibility for the availability, stability, security, and quality of workplace, client, identity, collaboration, and core services.
- Define and develop the technical direction, target architectures, standards, and operating models in the area of responsibility.
- Prioritize initiatives and projects, manage resources and capacity, and ensure sustainable service quality.
- Make technical decisions and actively serve as a sparring partner on complex architecture and infrastructure topics.
- Advance standardization, automation, and lifecycle management to reduce complexity and increase scalability.
- Work closely with Information Security and ensure relevant security requirements are implemented in the department.
- Coordinate and collaborate with other IT departments and international teams and locations.
- Establish clear responsibilities, efficient processes, and transparent interfaces.
- Lead and develop employees and build a capable, self-directed team structure.
