Youth Soccer Coach
About the job
- Must be able and willing to travel throughout Passaic County and Northeast New Jersey to class locations, with travel of up to an hour to a class location.
- Availability must include weekday mornings (9 a.m.–12 p.m.), weekday afternoons (12 p.m.–3 p.m.), and/or early evenings (3 p.m.–6 p.m.).
- Must be fun, energetic, patient, attentive, and punctual.
- Assist with or teach energetic and motivating classes, connect with and challenge each child, help children accomplish motor-development and skill goals, and inspire a love of movement and healthy habits in an organized, structured, fun manner.
- Provide individual and group attention to children.
- Arrive on time to class, physically and mentally prepared, including accounting for commuting time.
- Assist with the distribution and upkeep of necessary equipment.
- Assist the hiring manager with sourcing and screening potential candidates as needed.
- Manage the ordering, printing, and distribution of flyers, posters, and signage as needed.
- Record classes for coach-development video feedback as needed.
- Attend regular trainings and follow the Super Soccer Stars Coaching Manual.
- Prior experience working with children, such as as a sports coach, teacher, camper, or leader.
- A soccer-playing background.
- Saturday and/or Sunday availability.
