Requirements
  • Prior experience working with children as a sports coach, teacher, camper, or leader is preferred.
  • Ability and willingness to travel throughout Passaic County and Northeast New Jersey to class locations.
  • Availability must include weekday mornings, weekday afternoons, and/or early evenings.
  • Preferred availability on Saturdays and/or Sundays.
  • Soccer playing background is preferred.
  • Must be fun, energetic, patient, attentive, and punctual.
Responsibilities
  • Assist with and teach energetic, motivating soccer classes; connect with and challenge each child, help children accomplish motor development and skill goals, and inspire a love of movement and healthy habits in an organized, structured, and engaging manner.
  • Provide individual and group attention to children.
  • Arrive on time to class, physically and mentally prepared, including sufficient commuting time.
  • Adapt communication and engagement to the developmental level of children in all age groups and make soccer enjoyable for them.
  • Assist with the distribution and upkeep of required equipment.
  • Assist the hiring manager with sourcing and screening potential candidates.
  • Manage the ordering, printing, and distribution of flyers, posters, and signage.
  • Record classes for coach-development video feedback.
  • Attend regular training and follow the Super Soccer Stars Coaching Manual.
