Requirements
  • Strong computer science fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, networking, distributed systems, memory management, security, databases, and hardware integration.
  • Proficiency in C++ and C with strong object-oriented programming principles.
  • High-performance algorithm design experience.
  • Software architecture and infrastructure design expertise.
  • Advanced proficiency in Linux environments.
  • Experience with Git, GitLab, and the Atlassian suite, including JIRA, Confluence, Bamboo, Artifactory, BitBucket, and SonarQube.
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Understanding of mobile application and front-end user interface and user experience development.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail abilities.
  • A bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science.
  • For the Intermediate Professional level, at least two years of relevant experience.
  • Eligibility to obtain a government security clearance, participation in the ARL drug testing program, and compliance with electronic and physical monitoring requirements.
  • U.S. citizenship.
Responsibilities
  • Develop software solutions for research in communications systems.
  • Design applications, libraries, interfaces, and device drivers for diverse system-level requirements.
  • Implement and test algorithms across underwater, terrestrial, aerial, and space-based platforms.
  • Create signal-processing software for advanced communication systems.
  • Apply technical expertise to solve national security challenges.
  • Expand skills into new and adjacent technology areas.
Desired Qualifications
  • A master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Experience managing multiple concurrent projects and priorities.
  • Signal processing and algorithm development experience.
  • Background in cellular or wireless communications.
  • FPGA programming experience.
  • Database expertise with SQL, NoSQL, and/or big data systems.
  • Proficiency in MATLAB, Python, and/or Java.
  • Understanding of continuous integration/continuous delivery pipelines and DevOps practices.
  • Experience translating business requirements into technical specifications.
  • ATAK or WinTAK plug-in development experience.
  • Knowledge of cyber compliance policies and implementation requirements.
  • Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance optimization.
  • Experience with Rust, Bash, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
  • Experience with Google Protocol Buffers, ZeroMQ, FastAPI, pytest, React, and Tailwind.
  • Experience with AWS, Vim, CMake, and GDB.
