  • Proven experience as payroll administrator
  • Solid understanding of payroll best practices and accounting fundamentals
  • Experience processing payroll in both the US and Canada
  • Strong knowledge of federal, provincial, and state regulations
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to discreetly deal with sensitive and confidential information
  • Detail-oriented with proven organizational skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Team player with ability to work cross-functionally
  • FPC, preferred
  • 2+ years of experience with US and Canada payroll processing
Responsibilities
  • Understand all aspects of payroll, including laws and regulations
  • Understand payroll best practices and accounting fundamentals
  • Manage workflow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed timely and accurately
  • Provide excellent customer service to employees
  • Perform daily payroll operations
  • Process employee data (new hires, compensation changes)
  • Execute time and attendance processing and interface with payroll
  • Process 401K, HSA and garnishment payments
  • Process accurate and timely year end reporting (W-2, W-2c, 1095)
  • Process manual checks
  • Complete employment verifications and unemployment insurance information requests
  • Other assigned duties as necessary
