Requirements
  • An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Technology or a related field is required.
  • ARRT (R) certification is required.
  • State licensure is required if applicable.
  • Basic Life Support certification is required.
  • The technologist must be proficient in operating MRI, CT, and X-ray equipment.
  • The technologist must have strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and cross-sectional imaging.
  • The technologist must be familiar with PACS, RIS, and EMR systems.
Responsibilities
  • Operate MRI scanners to produce diagnostic images.
  • Screen patients for contraindications, including implants and pacemakers.
  • Administer contrast agents as required.
  • Monitor patients during scans and ensure comfort and safety.
  • Perform CT scans, including trauma, contrast, and non-contrast studies.
  • Prepare and position patients accurately for CT scans.
  • Administer intravenous contrast following protocol and monitor for reactions.
  • Perform post-processing and 3D reconstructions as needed.
  • Conduct general radiographic exams, including portable and fluoroscopic procedures.
  • Ensure proper positioning and technique to minimize radiation exposure.
  • Maintain and calibrate X-ray equipment.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to deliver accurate and timely diagnostic information.
Desired Qualifications
  • ARRT (CT) and ARRT (MR) certifications are preferred or must be obtained within a specified timeframe.
