Requirements
High School Diploma.
5+ years of industry experience.
Knowledge of tooling, supply management, mechanical inspection tools, technical concepts, inventory control, and job-specific procedures.
Ability to use mechanical inspection tools and demonstrate thoroughness, dependability, attention to detail, verbal communication, and documentation skills.
Responsibilities
Perform job duties at customer locations and/or outside the company facility.
Repair and maintain customer vehicles, including Department of Transportation inspections, lubrication and oil changes, minor adjustments, and minor repairs on tractors, trailers, and trucks.
Maintain Mobile Department vehicles, including cleanup and mechanical maintenance.
Maintain truck inventory.
Record necessary vehicle repair information and complete appropriate inspection forms.
Perform assigned duties in the main shop when mobile maintenance work is unavailable.
Determine vehicle condition through inspections and diagnostic tests and identify worn or damaged parts.
Complete preventive maintenance schedules, install component and part upgrades, control corrosion, and complete winterization procedures.
Verify vehicle performance through test drives and adjust controls and systems.
Comply with federal and state vehicle requirements by testing engine, safety, and combustion-control standards.
Maintain vehicle appearance through cleaning, washing, and painting.
Maintain vehicle records by documenting services and repairs.
Keep shop equipment operating by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, maintaining supplies, performing preventive maintenance, and arranging repairs.
Update job knowledge through educational opportunities and technical and regulatory publications.
Accept ownership for new and different requests and explore opportunities to add value to maintenance work.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Certifications for Detroit, Cummins, Freightliner, or Total Truck Care.

What you will be doing:
The Mobile Service Technician will maintain diesel equipment operation by completing inspections and preventive maintenance requirements; correcting vehicle deficiencies; making adjustments and alignments; keeping records.
What you need to succeed (Skills):
Performs job duties at customer’s location and/or outside of the Company facility

Records necessary information on vehicles being repaired and completes appropriate inspections forms
When mobile maintenance work is not available, performs assigned duties in the main shop.

Enhances maintenance department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

Compensation & Benefits:
Compensation: $37.50/hr-$43.40/hr. Compensation will be determined based on experience, competencies, certifications, and education
