Responsibilities
  • Overseeing projects that blend artificial intelligence, machine learning, and robotics to revolutionize transportation
  • Guiding the creation and optimization of large-scale data sets or developing advanced machine learning models
  • Fostering innovation, driving strategic initiatives, and steering teams towards achieving breakthroughs in scaled intelligence
  • Growing the team according to the product roadmap on commercialization timelines
  • Establishing solid ML practices from the start, developing the autonomous vehicle capability roadmap with production-level quality data and models across the ML cycle
  • Conducting 1:1s across the team reporting updates or coaching through career hurdles
  • Attending stand-ups of the projects your team is contributing to and seeing where you can unblock or help prioritize
  • Ensuring project leads within your team are aligning projects with company goals and priorities
  • Encouraging bold ambition and risk-taking in projects
  • Working cross-functionally to set the broader strategy and roadmap
  • Reviewing upcoming decisions and assessing any dependencies or risks
  • Debugging teams and projects - asking the right questions, challenging assumptions, thinking creatively, eliminating possible factors that could be contributing to a bug, adding feedback loops, and then assessing feedback
  • Working with leadership to communicate progress, blockers, and potential accelerants
  • Assessing general team health and looking for opportunities to improve processes and best practices

  • Experience working in a project-based (“matrix”) operating environment
  • Strong knowledge of Machine Learning and related areas, such as Deep Learning, Natural Language Processing, Computer Vision, etc.
