Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Completion of a state-approved training program for Home Health Aides is required.
  • A valid Home Health Aide certification is required.
  • At least one year of experience as a Home Health Aide is required.
  • The candidate must be able to communicate effectively and demonstrate empathy with clients and their families.
  • The candidate must be able to safely lift and move clients using proper body mechanics.
  • A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required.
  • The candidate must pass a background check and drug screening, including screening through Florida’s Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse.
Responsibilities
  • Assist individuals with daily needs, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
  • Remind individuals to take medication and assist with administering it.
  • Track vital signs and promptly communicate changes to the healthcare team.
  • Perform light household tasks to maintain a clean and safe living environment.
  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals that meet specific dietary requirements.
  • Engage in conversations with clients and provide emotional support and companionship to clients and their families.
