- Working rights for New Zealand are required.
- Clean, sanitize, and store cutlery, crockery, kitchen equipment, and appliances using industrial washing machines or hand washing as appropriate.
- Clean walls, floors, and general kitchen workspaces according to the prescribed cleaning schedule.
- Clean food storage areas, including fridges, cool rooms, and dry goods stores, observe food hygiene principles, and report hazards or problems to the Executive Chef.
- Regularly remove rubbish, keep kitchen and waste areas free of refuse, and clean industrial bins daily.
- Maintain and clean the loading dock.
- Clean the cutlery, plates, sink area, and buffet of the employee restaurant.
- Maintain cleaning equipment in effective working order and report faults or required repairs to the Executive Chef.
- Assist and liaise with the chef on duty with basic food preparation, including grating, peeling, chopping, and preparing batters, garnishes, and seasonings.
- Carry out other reasonable requests assigned by the manager.
- Previous experience in a similar role or hotel environment is advantageous.
