About the job
- At least 2 years of hands-on information technology support, desktop support, or field technician experience, ideally in a warehouse, fulfillment, or manufacturing environment.
- Experience maintaining automation equipment or robotics and calibrating high-precision scale and dimensioning systems.
- Familiarity with rugged mobile devices, thermal printers, physical workstation setups, and deployment and configuration of closed-circuit television hardware.
- Understanding of physical network cabling, including Cat6, patch panels, and Wi-Fi connectivity troubleshooting.
- Ability to explain technical fixes clearly to warehouse floor workers and collaborate with remote Systems Operations engineers.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and consent to random drug testing.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and climb ladders across a large warehouse floor for the duration of a shift.
- Ability to safely lift and move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Flexibility to work shifts aligned with warehouse operating hours, including occasional weekend or overtime support during peak seasons.
- Troubleshoot, physically align, and routinely maintain automated machinery and robotics.
- Calibrate and maintain Qboids dimensioning and weighing systems.
- Deploy, configure, and repair warehouse workstations, rugged tablets, and Honeywell wearables.
- Maintain, clean, and replace parts on industrial thermal Zebra printers.
- Support and maintain the physical functionality of on-site closed-circuit television cameras and security surveillance hardware, including basic camera positioning and physical connectivity.
- Coordinate with vendors or remote teams regarding software or video-feed issues.
- Assist remote Systems Operations administrators with physical network infrastructure, including switches, cabling, access-point mounting, and rack-hardware checks.
- Manage local information technology inventory and keep pre-configured backup scanners, printers, and workstations ready for immediate hot swaps on the warehouse floor.
- Minimize downtime and keep shipping, receiving, and inventory pipelines operating efficiently.
