The Role:
EPEX Leadership is committed to milestone success and continues to build upon a strong Datafile Release Team Foundation! The Datafile Release Team has a proven and successful impact to GM’s continued roll out of program Milestones (production, OTA and Service). Looking for highly motivated individuals to expand the Datafile Release Analysts to support the Body Control Module space.
The position involves a considerable amount of creativity, perception and a wide latitude for independent action. Additional responsibility will include occasional instruction and training of a small group of employees.

What You’ll do:
Initiate and process ECRs in support of development, production and service releases. Create, update and maintain change tracking parts lists for responsible area. Work with the calibration team to understand calibration proliferation and part number management
Analyze requests from outside work groups for comprehensive scope of change to part numbers and usages (analyze, interpret and understand VDS (Vehicle Description Summary) to assist calibrators in determine data file proliferation and impacts.
Assist in planning, developing, establishing and maintaining programs and procedures.
Act as a contact for the vehicle assembly plants to resolve plant issues
Recommend solutions to unusual and difficult programs for deployment of software
Prepare presentations and participate in meetings as necessary to support assigned controller programs
Work in GM Developed and Mainframe, UNIX and Windows based applications.

Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)
Bachelor’s Degree
Minimum of 5 years of automotive experience
Excellent oral and written communication skills
High level of sound logic and analytical ability where problems are unusual and complex
Attentiveness to detail and precision in work
Ability to work effectively both local and globally
Ability to work Flexible hours in support of global plant problem resolution
Ability to handle ambiguity and make decisions and recommendations with limited data
Ability to work in a fast paced environment with sometimes incomplete requirements
High level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others
Knowledge of computer applications such as Microsoft Office application and the ability to learn new systems in Unix, Windows and Mainframe based.
What Will Give You A Competitive Edge (Preferred Skills)
5 years of project management or change management experience
Working level knowledge of the data file release processes and tools
Working level knowledge of the following systems / databases / processes:
Engineering Change Management (ECM) & eMerge
GPDS / VDS / GMLogic / NG GMLogic
Global Enterprise Production Information Control System (GEPICS)
SPR (Soft Parts Release)
SPD (Soft Parts Distribution)
GVDP ( Global Vehicle Development Process)
Experience with product launches
