Responsibilities
  • Initiate and process ECRs in support of development, production and service releases.
  • Create, update and maintain change tracking parts lists for responsible area.
  • Work with the calibration team to understand calibration proliferation and part number management.
  • Analyze requests from outside work groups for comprehensive scope of change to part numbers and usages (analyze, interpret and understand VDS (Vehicle Description Summary) to assist calibrators in determine data file proliferation and impacts.
  • Assist in planning, developing, establishing and maintaining programs and procedures.
  • Act as a contact for the vehicle assembly plants to resolve plant issues.
  • Recommend solutions to unusual and difficult programs for deployment of software.
  • Prepare presentations and participate in meetings as necessary to support assigned controller programs.
  • Work in GM Developed and Mainframe, UNIX and Windows based applications.
Desired Qualifications
  • 5 years of project management or change management experience
  • Working level knowledge of the data file release processes and tools
  • Working level knowledge of the following systems / databases / processes:
  • Engineering Change Management (ECM) & eMerge
  • GPDS / VDS / GMLogic / NG GMLogic
  • Global Enterprise Production Information Control System (GEPICS)
  • SPR (Soft Parts Release)
  • SPD (Soft Parts Distribution)
  • GVDP ( Global Vehicle Development Process)
  • Experience with product launches
