Responsibilities
Provide daily care, health assessment, safety oversight, and comfort for residents.
Assist with management of the assigned unit, charge nurse, and other nursing staff.
Supervise the unit and provide written and verbal care assignments, routine skills, and procedures to ensure quality resident care.
Supervise and participate in developing and implementing resident care plans.
Document resident progress and recommend revisions to care plans.
Assist the Director of Nursing and Assistant Director of Nursing with coordinating, managing, and monitoring nurse-note reviews to determine whether care plans are followed.
Supervise staff monitoring residents' psychological functions, fluid balance, elimination, electrolyte status, laboratory results, respiratory status, neurological status, and nutritional status to detect deviations and assess progress.
Round with the physician.
Maintain resident confidentiality and protect residents' rights and privacy.
Complete required documentation and teach residents regarding admissions, transfers, and discharges according to policy and procedures.

Responsibilities
The Unit Manager is responsible for providing for the daily care, health needs, safety and comfort of the resident. This includes providing professional assessments and documentation of the resident’s heath and assisting with management of the assigned unit, charge nurse and other nursing staff.
Supervising the unit, perform and provide written/verbal care assignments, routine skills and procedures to ensure the quality of care to residents
Supervising and participating in the development and implementation of resident care plans
Documenting progress and making recommendations for revisions to care plans
Assisting the DON/ADON with the co-ordination, management and monitoring of the review of nurse’s notes to determine if the care plan is being followed
Supervising staff in monitor each resident’s psychological functions, fluid balance, elimination, electrolyte status, laboratory results, respiratory status, neurological status and nutritional status to detect deviations from normal and gage progress
Rounding with the physician
Maintaining the confidentiality of all residents and their care to ensure residents rights and privacy are protected at all time
Completing necessary documentation and teaching of residents for residents’ admissions, transfers and discharge according to policy and procedures
