Position Summary:
Within the PlugShare Data Products Group there are two key product areas: 1) the PlugShare DataTool, a powerful Tableau-based analytical tool that allows users to access our peerless public charging infrastructure census and make detailed custom queries and reports; 2) PlugShare Data Licensing, which includes API access to our database for integration into automaker head units and other 3rd party applications.
The Data Products Manager will manage client accounts, support pending deals, field inbound business inquiries and convert new business leads that generated by the business development team. You’ll be actively involved in presenting to existing and prospective clients, and in helping the marketing and business development team create the most persuasive messaging for their outbound sales efforts.

Responsibilities:
- Maintain a working knowledge of PlugShare’s Data Product features & functions. Related, contribute ideas for product improvements and evolutions.
- Work with the business development team to triage inbound sales and business development inquiries in Zendesk.
- Identify workflow problems and actively propose solutions.
- Draft proposals, manage and update contracts; including agreement renewals .
- Manage and secure POs.
- Act as a liaison between with accounting staff in order to maintain accurate billing, timely revenue reporting, solid forecasts. Maintain vigilance over account payables.
- Make sure Data Products FAQs on the PlugShare website are always up-to-date and comprehensive.
- Own vendor setup - Manage any client supplier portals/invoicing processes. Relatedly, stay on top of needed invoices for new clients, renewals, and special billing cycles.
- Create and send invoice orders to accounts receivable.
Required Skills and Experience:
- 3-5 years of Account Management, Customer Success, or other customer facing positions.
- A 4-year degree (e.g., BA, BS.
- Ability to work autonomously and be self-directed in the face of conflicting priorities.
- Intellectual curiosity, with the ability to quickly gain new subject matter expertise.
- Strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication. You should be completely comfortable in a customer-facing role.
- Highly organized, with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously.
- You need to be a great collaborator, adept at working with cross-functional teams including marketing, business development, senior leadership, engineering, and accounting.
- A demonstrated interest and knowledge in the electric vehicle/sustainable energy industry is a huge plus.
- Experience with Salesforce, Zendesk, other tools a plus
For job positions in CA, CO, and NYC, the estimated salary range for a new hire in this position is $75,000 USD to $80,000 USD. Actual salary may vary depending on job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
