Requirements
  • A Master of Business Administration degree or equivalent experience is required.
  • At least seven years of progressive management experience and knowledge of Management and Operations are required.
  • At least three years of consulting experience selling services, supervising services provided, and delivering services hands-on are required.
  • A proven record of consulting sales experience with annual sales totals of up to $4 million is required.
  • At least seven years of progressive management experience and comprehensive knowledge of strategic client initiatives affected by Management and Operations are required.
  • The candidate must be able to assess environments, identify forces and barriers to strategic planning, solve strategic operations issues, generate new business, assess service utilization, identify and manage change, and analyze problems to recommend and implement solutions.
  • The candidate must possess strong leadership, business judgment, organizational, communication, collaboration, and stakeholder-management abilities.
  • The candidate must have demonstrated success recruiting, retaining, mentoring, and developing staff.
  • The candidate must manage sales and proposal processes, evaluate and pursue opportunities, manage leads, and maintain proposal workflows under tight deadlines.
  • The candidate must manage marketing activities and be proficient with business tools, including Microsoft Office, Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Adobe Acrobat, data analytics tools, and Visio.
  • The candidate must ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws and company policies and procedures.
  • The candidate must be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships and adapt to organizational growth and change.
Responsibilities
  • Lead and support the design, development, and delivery of client solutions for the Management and Operations Consulting Practice.
  • Research, pursue, and document business opportunities; manage proposal development; manage client relationships and deliverables; and develop consulting teams.
  • Develop and execute diversified consulting business development and sales strategies, including target-account planning, service packaging, proposals, presentations, and closing processes.
  • Identify solutions to client challenges, produce engagement deliverables, drive change, and impact client outcomes across private companies, enterprises, and government agencies.
  • Provide oversight and management of professional consultants to ensure consistent, high-quality, cost-effective service delivery.
  • Manage client engagements, build C-suite relationships, develop market-specific solutions, and support strategy sessions, strategic planning, and evaluation of client initiatives.
  • Provide thought leadership, contribute to intellectual capital, publish articles, speak at conferences, and strengthen the firm's market presence.
  • Supervise, lead, recruit, coach, and develop consulting team members, including independent contractors and employed subject-matter experts.
  • Oversee projects, delegate work, report within a matrix organization, and coordinate with other practices and business units.
  • Work with senior management on strategic and tactical plans, budgets, pipeline growth, sales opportunities, productivity, throughput, objectives, goals, and performance standards.
  • Develop and implement best practices, programs, retention strategies, and recruitment strategies for the practice.
  • Set up and support new billing accounts and manage consultant and contractor payment processes where required.
  • Interact with clients to ensure customer satisfaction and maintain internal and external relationships.
  • Update the customer relationship management database, schedule prospect meetings, support prospect materials, and coordinate business development campaigns.
Desired Qualifications
  • Previous professional-level experience with a management consulting firm in a leadership capacity is preferred.
  • Experience or business understanding across industries including energy, manufacturing, chemical, retail, healthcare, telecommunications, hospitality, pharmaceuticals, banking and financial services, transportation, and federal and state government agencies is desirable.
